Into Third Day
During the third day
of competition in the 2008 Northern Virginia Senior Olympics, Tues., Sept. 23, James Westray, Arl., won a gold medal in menÕs eight ball
pool and Elizabeth
Roadcap, Vienna won in the womenÕs
division. The competition was held at Lincolnia Senior Center, Alexandria.
Other events were
held at Lee District Park, Franconia. Gold medals were awarded in 3x3 womenÕs basketball to the Super 60Õs Plus, Nancy Joyner,
Annandale, Sue Flynn, Oakton, Carmela Miller, Arl., Patricia McWethy, Oakton
and Lily Chua, Potomac. Frisbee throw gold medalists were (men)50-59, Ken
Freund, Alex., 60-69, Kai-Peter
Koenig, Montclair, 70-79, Renold
Beck, Fairfax, 80-89, Ben Robinson, Alex. and 90-99, J. R. Cassidy, Manassas;
