Scholarship ProgramThe Northern Virginia Senior Olympic Committee encourages participation in the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics. If you, a member of your family or a friend would like to participate in the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics and are in need of fee assistance in order to participate, please contact your sponsoring jurisdiction for more detailed information. EligibilityResidents, 50 years and older as of December 31, 2008, living in the following jurisdictions are eligible to participate:
Age For CompetitionThe age division for all doubles and team competitions will be determined by the age of the youngest players as of December 31, 2008.Events are broken down in 5, 10, and no age groups.See page 8 for more information. In doubles and team competition, substitute players must be within the same age group or older. YOUNGER AGE GROUP SUBSTITUTES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. All substitutes must be registered and have paid all corresponding fees to be eligible to participate. VolunteersNorthern Virginia Senior Olympics would appreciate participants volunteering to help with events when not competing.
